Cast as Molly in 'A Simple Tale of Love' - premiering at Camden Fringe 2021!

Over the past couple of months I've been in talks with scriptwriter/producer Sasha Ravencroft regarding her new one act play which will be staged this summer! I'm so happy to be working with Sasha again and involved in another of her fabulous scripts - she previously cast me for her play 'God' but this has been postponed from June 2020 until a possible 2022 date. In the meantime, theatres are opening up and audiences are coming back - including fringe festivals! It's been a goal of mine to be on the fringe festival circuit and I'm thrilled to be kicking it off in Camden this August with another of Sasha's intriguing characters and fabulous plays.

'A Simple Tale of Love' is a 2 person 1 act play, running for approx 50 minutes so is perfect for the fringe festival scene. Like other scripts of Sasha's it incorporates a metaphoric reflection of society. Molly has lost all hope and confidence, a victim of divorce and workplace bullying - but her life turns around when she befriends a mysterious stranger who holds a terrifying other-worldly secret. A dark farce, described as House of Horror meets Carry On!

We have been fortunate to secure 3 dates, split over 2 amazing venues - The Etcetera Theatre on Camden High Street and the Hen & Chickens Theatre in Islington.

I'm also very happy to be reunited with fellow Rose Bruford classmate Nicole Roberts who is developing a directing career alongside her acting and singing careers, who Sasha has asked to assist as AD for the play. I loved being on stage with Nicole but have also witnessed how great she is at directing and will be delighted working alongside her again.

It also happens that the role of JD is going to a Rose Bruford alumni, Daniel Pabla. I have not worked with Daniel before but know that his talent and work ethic will be terrific.

I'm currently enjoying learning the lines and looking forward to the rehearsals commencing shortly, in preparation for the play's Camden debut at the end of August.
