Eating Popcorn screening at Femi Film Fest!

It was an honour to be invited to be one of the 5 films screening at the fabulous Femi Film Festival in Camden this weekend! This event in March was in honour of #InternationalWomensDay

All the films were absolutely outstanding and it was great to connect with the team behind the Femi Film Fest and Evulve Productions, as well as the other filmmakers.

We lined up afterwards for Q&A from the audience - one of the questions to me was "what would you have done differently with a bigger budget?" I don't think I've mentioned it much publicly but before filming my original concept of a woman telling her story to camera in an 8 minute piece - which is what the current film is - I also adapted it into a fuller, longer film script. I love the original, but it would be great to have the financial backing and team to go further into the character of Sam and those around her and the events that happened. I can see every minute of the longer film in my head completely - but not having limited financial constraints would be needed to pay a larger cast and crew to get this made... But who knows what the future may bring.

The whole Femi Film Fest event was a fantastic experience, and the relaxed vibe at the low key creative hub venue was great.
