I am so thrilled to have been awarded Best Actress in a Short at the Toronto Independent Film Festival of CIFT! This came for my role of Sam in my short film "Eating Popcorn".
The "Toronto Independent Festival of Cift is a seasonal celebration of the best of short and long feature films in contemporary cinema. The festival aims to bring the most acclaimed Internationally produced short and long films of the year to Toronto’s screens in an effort to present a comprehensive cross-section of talents and showcase the depth and diversity of cinema. Our festival exhibits the most prominent filmmakers and cinematic movements and selects from a wide range of genres and modes." (https://cyrusmonthlyfestival.com/)
A bit more about CIFT from their website: "In honour of Cyrus the Great, the first to establish the laws to protect universal human rights and to respect human diversity, Cyrus International Film Festival’s mission is to celebrate diversity in world cinema. The festival was established in 2015, but in a short period of time, it became a well-recognized international festival in Toronto with more than 10000 patrons each year. It is now after Tiff it is the most successful local festival that is held each year at TIFF Bell Light Box, the house of Toronto International Film Festival (Mayor of Toronto, John Tory, opened the past two editions of the festival; in the past years, Globe and Mail and CBC, two prominent news outlet in Canada covered the festival)" - https://cift.ca/about-us/
I am so honoured and thankful to have been awarded this 🙏🏻🌟🏆
